REMOTE START FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do 2-Way starters indicate that the is engine on?
Yes, our 2-Way remote starters turn on the vehicle’s parking lights to indicate that the vehicle has been remote started, and the LCD REMOTE confirms locks and start audibly and visually on the remotes display. You don't need to look at the vehicle to see if it started.
Is the vehicle safe from theft when remote started?
YES, If at any time the brake pedal is pressed while the vehicle is remote started the engine immediately shuts off. Also, when remote started, the doors remain locked.
Can your starters work with Diesel engines?
Absolutely.
How does the remote starter turn on heat?
To have heat turn on when you remote-start your vehicle simply pre-set the blower and temperature settings prior to leaving the vehicle. The next time you start your vehicle with the remote, the heat will turn on to the pre-set level.
Can your starters work with manual transmissions?
Yes, however, manual transmission installations require add’l labour, at extra charge.
Can I have keyless entry if I don’t have power locks?
We can, however, we must install power lock motors, if your locks are not power equipped (extra charge applicable).
Do you disable factory-installed anti-theft devices?
No. Instead, our technicians use the latest technology to allow our systems to seamlessly integrate with factory anti-theft devices (i.e. transponder keys, Passlock, etc.). On rare occasions you may be required to provide an extra key which will be used in the integration process (key will not be returned as it becomes a physical part of the integration device).
